Welcome to Semper Paratus CPR! By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to all of the terms and conditions contained in these Terms, please refrain from using our website or services.
1. Introduction
Semper Paratus CPR, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") provides certified life-saving training courses, including CPR, Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid, babysitter safety, and other safety and emergency response training, to healthcare professionals and the general public. Our courses are approved by the American Heart Association (AHA), the American Red Cross, the Health and Safety Institute (HSI), the National Safety Council (NSC), and ProTrainings. By enrolling in our courses, purchasing our products, or using our website, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
2. Definitions
For purposes of these Terms, the following definitions apply:
- "Course" or "Class" means a training program offered by Semper Paratus CPR in any format.
- "Skills Session" means the hands-on, instructor-led component of a Course.
- "Participant" or "Student" means the person attending a Course.
- "Registering Adult" means an adult who registers a minor Participant.
- "Certifying Organization" means AHA, Red Cross, HSI, NSC, ProTrainings, or another issuing organization.
- "Website" means semperparatuscpr.com and related domains owned by Semper Paratus CPR.
3. Services Provided
We offer CPR, BLS, First Aid, babysitter safety, and related life-saving training Courses through in-person training, virtual training, group training, and blended learning formats.
4. Enrollment and Registration
To register for any Course, the person submitting registration must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid email address, and complete the registration form with accurate information.
5. Youth and Minor Participants
- Participants must be at least 11 years old for designated youth courses.
- A parent, legal guardian, or Registering Adult must complete registration.
- Semper Paratus CPR may dismiss unsafe or disruptive Participants without refund.
6. Payment Terms
- Course fees must be paid in full at registration.
- We accept credit card, Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm, and Link.
- Applicable state sales tax will be charged.
7. Promotional Codes, Discounts, and Gift Cards
Promotional codes, discounts, and gift cards are non-transferable, have no cash value, and may not be combined unless expressly permitted.
8. Class Size and Enrollment Policy
Skills Sessions may proceed with as few as one Participant. Full instructor-led Classes preferably require four Participants. Group Classes are based on contracted capacity.
9. Class Attendance, Rescheduling, Cancellation, and Refund Policy
- Arrivals more than 15 minutes late require rescheduling and a $40 fee.
- No-shows are non-refundable.
- More than 72-hour cancellations are subject to a 10% processing fee.
- Blended Course refunds are not issued once online content is accessed.
10. Private and Group Class Deposits
Deposits are non-refundable but may be applied to a future Class within six months when rescheduled at least 72 hours prior to the original Class.
11. Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within ten business days. Additional processing time may depend on the financial institution.
12. Shipping and Delivery
Shipping costs, delivery estimates, and applicable fees are displayed at checkout. Damaged or defective shipments must be reported within 7 days.
13. Health Considerations
CPR and life-saving training are physical activities. Participants should be in good health and should stop if exhausted, strained, or unwell.
14. Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
You acknowledge that participation involves physical activities and inherent risks. You voluntarily assume such risks and release Semper Paratus CPR from claims except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
15. Code of Conduct and Right to Refuse Service
Participants must behave respectfully, professionally, and safely. Semper Paratus CPR may refuse service or dismiss Participants for unsafe, disruptive, abusive, fraudulent, or unlawful behavior.
16. Recording Policy
Participants may not record any portion of a Class without prior written consent. Unauthorized recording may result in dismissal without refund.
17. Photography and Likeness
Semper Paratus CPR may photograph or record in-person Classes for marketing, educational, or internal purposes. Minors will not be photographed without prior written consent from the Registering Adult.
18. Equipment, Facilities, and Damage
For Private and Group Classes, customers must provide a safe and appropriate training space and are responsible for loss or damage to Semper Paratus CPR equipment caused by negligence or misuse.
19. Certification
Upon successful completion, Participants receive certification from the applicable Certifying Organization. Certifications are typically valid for two years.
20. Medical Information Disclaimer
Website and Course materials are provided for informational and educational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical advice.
21. Privacy and Data Protection
By using our Website and services, you consent to collection, use, and sharing of personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
22. Website Usage and Terms of Use
Website content is owned by Semper Paratus CPR or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
