- In-Person Training – Hands-on, instructor-led Classes held at our training locations or partner facilities.
- Virtual Training – Live, instructor-led Courses conducted remotely via video conferencing, with skills verification performed in accordance with the requirements of the applicable Certifying Organization.

To register for any of our Courses, the person submitting the registration must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid email address, and complete the online registration form with accurate and current information. By registering, you confirm your eligibility (or, where applicable, the Participant's eligibility) for the Course and that any prerequisites required by the applicable Certifying Organization have been met. By registering for a Course, you agree to pay the applicable course fee and any applicable taxes.
Youth and Minor Participants
Certain Courses we offer, such as babysitter safety and youth-oriented first aid courses, allow minor Participants. For these designated Courses, the following additional terms apply:
- Participants must be at least 11 years of age as of the date of the Class.
- Participants must be capable of sitting through the full duration of the Class without being disruptive and must be able to follow the instructor's directions.
- A parent, legal guardian, or other Registering Adult must complete the registration on behalf of the minor and agree to these Terms on the minor's behalf.
- The Registering Adult is responsible for the minor's attendance, conduct, and any health considerations relevant to the Class, and represents that the minor is physically and developmentally capable of participating in the Course activities.
- Semper Paratus CPR reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to dismiss any Participant (including a minor) whose conduct is disruptive, unsafe, or otherwise interferes with the Class. No refund will be issued for dismissal due to conduct.
- Courses not specifically designated for minor participation remain restricted to Participants who are at least 18 years of age.

- Gift cards are subject to the same payment terms as other purchases.
Class Size and Enrollment Policy
To ensure the quality and integrity of our training, Semper Paratus CPR applies the following minimum and maximum Class size standards:
Minimum Class Size
- Skills Sessions: A Skills Session may proceed with as few as one (1) Participant.
- Full Classes: For full instructor-led Classes, we prefer a minimum of four (4) Participants for the Class to proceed at the scheduled time.
- Private and Group Classes: Private and Group Classes have no minimum head-count requirement. Pricing is based on the contracted Class capacity at the time of booking (for example, "up to 6 students" or "up to 12 students"), and the full contracted price is payable regardless of how many Participants actually attend.
Maximum Class Size and Instructor Ratios
- Maximum Class size is governed by the instructor-to-student ratio required by the applicable Certifying Organization (AHA, American Red Cross, HSI, NSC, or ProTrainings).
- When a Private or Group Class exceeds the maximum ratio permitted by the applicable Certifying Organization, additional instructors will be assigned and additional fees may apply. These additional fees will be communicated and agreed upon prior to the Class.
- For youth-only Classes, Semper Paratus CPR may, at its discretion, impose a lower maximum than the standard Certifying Organization ratio to ensure adequate supervision and instruction quality.
Low Enrollment Cancellations
If a scheduled public Class has not met the preferred minimum enrollment, Semper Paratus CPR will typically make a decision approximately four (4) days prior to the scheduled Class. In the event of a low enrollment cancellation, Semper Paratus CPR may, at its sole discretion:
- Cancel the Class and offer registered students a full refund or a transfer to another scheduled Class;
- Move registered students to the next available Class (the default approach), with a refund issued only upon student request; or
- Proceed with the Class as scheduled.
Registered students will be notified of any low enrollment cancellation and the available options by email.
Class Attendance, Rescheduling, Cancellation, and Refund Policy
All Course purchases are final, except as expressly provided below. The following policies govern attendance, rescheduling, cancellation, and refunds for individually registered students:
- Class Start Time: Instructors will open doors 10–15 minutes before in-person Classes for students to settle in. Virtual classrooms will open at a similar window before the scheduled start time.
- Late Arrival: If you arrive more than 15 minutes late to an in-person or virtual Class, you must reschedule and pay a $40 rescheduling fee. The free reschedule described below does not apply to late arrivals.
- No-Show Policy: Students who do not call or show up for a scheduled Class will not receive a refund. Full payment is required to attend another Class.
- Rescheduling: Your first reschedule of a Class is free if it is requested before the scheduled start time of the Class. Each additional reschedule of that Class is subject to a $40 rescheduling fee. Reschedules are subject to availability.
- Cancellations (Within 72 Hours of Class): No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled Class. You may reschedule instead, as described under Rescheduling.
- Cancellations (More than 72 Hours Prior to Class): A 10% cancellation/processing fee will be deducted from your refund.
- Reschedule Protection: Reschedule Protection is available for purchase at the time of registration and provides unlimited reschedules of that Class without rescheduling fees, subject to availability, including after a late arrival or a missed Class. If you miss your Class, you must contact us within 24 hours of the scheduled Class to reschedule; if you do not, you forfeit the ability to reschedule and must purchase the Class again to attend. Reschedule Protection is refundable.
- Blended (Online + In-Person or Virtual) Training: No refunds are issued for blended Courses once the online portion has been activated or accessed.
- Weather and Other Cancellations: Decisions regarding weather-related cancellations will be made 12–24 hours before the Class at the discretion of Semper Paratus CPR. We also reserve the right to cancel or reschedule Classes due to low enrollment, instructor availability, or other unforeseen circumstances (see also "Low Enrollment Cancellations" and "Force Majeure" below).
- Activation Period: Your Course purchase will be available for activation for one (1) year from the date of purchase. After this period, the purchase will be forfeited.
Private and Group Class Deposits
For Private and Group training Classes, a deposit is required to reserve the date and time of the Class. The following terms apply to Private and Group Class deposits:
- The deposit is non-refundable but may be applied to a future Class within six (6) months of the original Class date.
- To apply the deposit to a future Class, you must reschedule at least 72 hours prior to the start of the originally scheduled Class.
- If you do not reschedule the Class within six (6) months of the original Class date, or if you do not show up for the Class, the deposit will be forfeited.
- Any remaining balance due for the Class is subject to the Payment Terms above and the Private, Group, and Corporate Class Cancellations section below.
Private, Group, and Corporate Class Cancellations
Private, Group, and Corporate Classes must be cancelled at least seventy-two (72) hours before the scheduled start time of the Class. Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the scheduled start time will be billed at fifty percent (50%) of the Class price. Any deposit already paid will be applied toward this amount.
Refund Processing Time
When a refund is approved, Semper Paratus CPR will issue the refund to the original payment method within ten (10) business days of approval. The time required for the funds to appear in your account depends on your card issuer or financial institution and typically takes an additional five (5) to ten (10) business days.
Shipping and Delivery
Semper Paratus CPR ships products, including but not limited to training materials, manuals, manikins, and related equipment, to addresses within the areas we serve.
- Shipping costs, estimated delivery times, and any applicable handling fees will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
- Title and risk of loss for shipped products pass to you upon delivery to the carrier.
- Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Semper Paratus CPR is not responsible for carrier delays, lost packages once delivered, or delivery issues caused by inaccurate shipping information provided by the customer.
- Damaged or defective shipments must be reported within 7 days of delivery for evaluation and possible replacement.
- International orders, if accepted, may be subject to additional duties, taxes, and customs fees, which are the responsibility of the customer.
Health Considerations
CPR and other life-saving training are physical activities, and Participants must be in good health to perform CPR on a manikin or otherwise participate fully. If you (or, in the case of a minor Participant, the registered minor) have any injuries or pre-existing medical conditions that may prevent proper performance of CPR or other physical activities required by the Course, you should not take the Class. If a Participant feels exhausted, strained, or unwell at any point, the Participant should stop and notify the instructor.
Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
You acknowledge that participation in Semper Paratus CPR Courses involves physical activities, including kneeling, bending, performing chest compressions on a manikin, and using training equipment, and that these activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle strain, joint injury, falls, exposure to communicable illness, and other physical or psychological injury.
You voluntarily assume all such risks, both known and unknown, that are inherent in participating in the Course. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release, waive, and discharge Semper Paratus CPR, its officers, directors, employees, instructors, agents, contractors, affiliates, and assigns from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, and liability of any kind arising out of or related to your participation in the Course, except to the extent caused by Semper Paratus CPR's gross negligence or willful misconduct.
For Minor Participants: The Registering Adult, on behalf of themselves and the minor, agrees to the assumption of risk and release described above and represents that they have the legal authority to provide this acknowledgment on the minor's behalf.
Code of Conduct and Right to Refuse Service
All Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, professional, and safe manner during all interactions with Semper Paratus CPR, including in-person Classes, virtual Classes, and communications with our staff and instructors.
Semper Paratus CPR reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, dismiss Participants from a Class without refund, and cancel orders for any of the following reasons, among others:
- Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior during a Class.
- Intoxication or impairment that interferes with safe participation.
- Harassment, threats, discrimination, or abusive conduct directed at instructors, staff, or other Participants.
- Fraudulent payment, payment disputes, or chargebacks issued without first attempting to resolve the matter with Semper Paratus CPR.
- Violation of these Terms or applicable law.
- Inability to safely perform the physical skills required by the Course.
- Provision of false or misleading information during registration.
- Recording any portion of a Class without prior written consent (see "Recording Policy" below).
Recording Policy
Semper Paratus CPR may record virtual Classes and, where notice is given, in-person Classes for purposes including quality assurance, instructor training, certification verification, and educational use. Any recordings made by Semper Paratus CPR are the sole property of Semper Paratus CPR.
Participants may not record (whether by audio, video, photography, screen capture, or any other means) any portion of a Class without the prior written consent of Semper Paratus CPR. Unauthorized recording is grounds for immediate dismissal from the Class without refund and may result in additional legal remedies.
For Minor Participants: The Registering Adult is responsible for ensuring that the minor complies with this Recording Policy.
Photography and Likeness
Semper Paratus CPR may occasionally photograph or video-record in-person Classes for marketing, promotional, educational, and internal training purposes.
Adult Participants: By attending an in-person Class, you grant Semper Paratus CPR a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use your likeness, voice, and image in marketing and educational materials. You may opt out of photography or video recording by notifying the instructor in writing or in person before the Class begins, in which case reasonable efforts will be made to exclude your image from any recording or photograph.
Minor Participants: Semper Paratus CPR will not photograph or video-record an identifiable image of a minor Participant without prior written consent from the Registering Adult. Consent for the use of a minor's likeness may be requested separately and is entirely optional; refusal to provide consent will not affect the minor's ability to participate in a Course.
Equipment, Facilities, and Damage (Private and Group Classes)
For Private and Group Classes conducted at a customer's location, the customer is responsible for providing a safe, clean, and appropriate space for training, with adequate floor space, lighting, and ventilation.
The customer is responsible for any loss of, or damage to, Semper Paratus CPR equipment (including manikins, AED trainers, audiovisual equipment, and other training materials) that occurs at the customer's location due to negligence, misuse, or the conduct of the customer's Participants or guests. Semper Paratus CPR will inspect equipment at the conclusion of the Class, and any damage beyond reasonable wear will be invoiced to the customer at the cost of repair or replacement.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the Course and Skills Session, Participants will receive an official certification from the applicable Certifying Organization (AHA, American Red Cross, HSI, NSC, or ProTrainings, as designated for the Course). Certifications are typically valid for two years from the date of issuance, subject to the renewal requirements of the issuing organization. It is the Participant's responsibility (or, for minor Participants, the responsibility of the Registering Adult) to monitor the expiration date and renew certification as necessary.
Certifying Organization Disclaimer: The American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Health and Safety Institute, National Safety Council, and ProTrainings each promote knowledge and proficiency in life-saving skills but do not sponsor Semper Paratus CPR Courses. Course fees do not represent income for any of these organizations.
Certification Replacement and Reprints
If you lose or damage your certification card, or require a reprint or correction, please contact us using the information at the end of these Terms. A replacement or reprint fee may apply, depending on the issuing organization and the nature of the request. Requests for corrections due to Semper Paratus CPR error will be processed without charge.
